Purple Fanatic

The usual regular days mixed up with occasions and events, a very close friend of mine wanted me to design her a one piece dress in Purple. She and I being a complete Purple Fanatic, we have almost everything in our favorite color.

The design has a full circular skirt with a top with quarter sleeves and boat neckline. The fabric is Satin silk. The fabric is thick and can also be used for shirting and suiting material. We just love the color and its luster.

I added a little detail with the fabric flowers I made with the same satin silk and added half-pearls for a complete flowery look. I made a lot of it and attached it with thread on one side of the neckline.

She looks Fabulous!

Do visit the blog often to read and check up on my recent designs.

My Strapless Black Gown - Evening Wear

Women who often dress in black live colorful lives they say, I guess it's true.

The ICT Startup Award 2016 took place in World Trade Centre where some of the best IT companies won their fabulous awards organized by Living with ICT magazine.

I was invited to the event by a very good friend of mine assosciated with the magazine to accompany him. What I loved about the event was, how joyful and enthusiastic the audience and the winners were.

I had to wear something glamorous or so; I am a Fashion Designer forsake. I had to stood out somehow yet keep it gorgeous and subtle. I made up a design and stitched a fabulous strapless black gown within a day of course.

The fabric I used were stretchable synthetic for the top and Net based for the bottom.

I just wanted to wear black for it seems so classy and you can never go wrong with black.

The upper top part is strapless. Strapless meaning without any strap. I had the skirt made in straight silhouette with a side slit. It's easy to walk when we have a slit or vent in a fitted skirt. The belt is made from the same synthetic fabric. It's not attached to the gown. I had it used as an accessory because it added a little more detail. I had it tied in a bow shape and there's my strapless black gown I made for myself for the evening event, an award show.

Know Better Featuring Navin Pokharel-II

You’re a Metal head! Great! You'll love this interview with Navin Pokharel where he shares some of his thoughts on Music and Fashion.

Fashion Perception

# What’s the must have wardrobe for you? You’ve got long hair than mine, how do you maintain it.

My fashion sense is not top notch..I wear anything that I am comfortable with..if I have to say something particular I would say half pants because, I wear them a lot very comfortable for someone who has to live by the clock..haha talking about my hair, I don't do anything to maintain it..it's just the way it is.

#Jokes apart; We’d like to know what’s fashion for you?

Fashion for me is what u feel..It's not the clothes or shoes you wear..it should show what u are fashion should be a reflection of oneself..it does not mean you should not have to wear good attires and all but in doing so it should reflect what u are..that's the most important thing.

#What are your favorite bands? We know you’re in a band as well, How does it feel being on stage and doing what you love?

I don't have any particular favorite band..I listen to all kind of music it depends on the mood..though this is cliche but its the truth..I am into metal music and all but it doesn't mean u have to listen to metal bands only one should appreciate all kinds of music form and learn from everything..
Being on stage and doing what u like is one of the best feeling in a musicians life..you get to express yourself show the audience what u are and be happy doing it..most of all its so much fun I cant even start to describe it.

#Do You own band t-shirts? How many let us know.

Yaa, I own some band tees..I used to wear em all the time but now not that much..its not compulsory to wear band shirt if you are into metal..to give my number i'd say 8-9.

# Let’s talk about the upcoming tribute on 18th june.

We the team of Sangeet pathshala are doing a tribute show to one of the most influential band of our time SLAYER..they lost their Axeman Jeff Hanneman 3 years ago and this tribute is our way of paying respect for the legend that he is and also saying thank u for blessing us with all these evergreen hits..beside that we are also forming a charity for the economically challenged students and help them persue their musical enthusiasm.

Music Perception

# Tell us how you feel about the metal music and its current state in Our Nepalese Music Industry.

Metal music is flourishing by the day..the standard of the gigs sound wise band wise and from technical side is also improving..new and upcoming bands and writing good music..the number of audience attending the show are also in increasing order..so we can say that Nepalese metal scene is slowly reaching its peak.

# You told us before you are a sound technician, bet you love music hardcore. How’d you imagine a life without music?

I have been involved in the music scene for 6-7 years now and I can't imagine my life without music at this time..anywhere I am even when i am not working I need to listen to good music..I never forget my headphones and I am air-guitaring and drumming wherever I am(haha)..so, I think I cant imagine what my life would be without music.
